Scores soar at the Shores, then get scorching
Early in the week, several players thought a score around even par would be good enough to win. Thursday bore that out. After that, though, the scores headed distinctly downward, leaving everyone to try to figure out why.

Steady Britton captures Low Club Professional honors
Bill Britton of New Jersey carded an even-par 71 Sunday to finish with the best score of the 43 PGA Professionals who teed it up this week. This is the second time he's earned this distinction since 2008.
Ageless Irwin still sees room for improvement
Hale Irwin wasn't impressed that, a week shy of his 67th birthday, his third-place finish made him the oldest player to finish in the top five in a major. Already, he said, he's got some ideas on how to get better.
Cook disappointed in finish but happy with overall week
Though John Cook was unhappy that he couldn't convert enough chances to overtake Roger Chapman, he set a tournament record for lowest score by a runner-up. And all in all, he loved his experience at Harbor Shores.
