Winner of five Japan PGA events between 1987 and 2000, and captured the 2010 Fuji Film Senior Championship as a member of the Japan Senior Tour. As a prep at Gotenba-west high school, Serizawa became a standout in Alpine skiing, and was one of the National Athletic team members. . .Began playing golf at age 18, and joined the JPGA in 1982. Since he won his first title in 1987, he had been the top-seeded player in Japan Golf Tour. He also served as a World Cup representative in 1991. He has played on both the regular and Senior Tours, winning the Fuji Film Senior Championship in his "rookie" senior season, and was runner-up in the 2011 Japan Senior Open. . .Every April, works as a TBS television analyst for the Masters, also taking an active commentator role in both JPGA tour and JLPGA tour. Has written instructional pieces in many publications, and continues to work to promote golf through the social action programs in Japan.
