Won his maiden Senior Tour title at the 2011 Aberdeen Brunei Senior Masters presented by The Stapleford Forum, carding a sublime seven under par 64 in the final round to win by one. Pushed Boonchu Ruangkit all the way in the race for the John Jacobs Trophy in a remarkably consistent 2010 campaign, despite not winning. Recorded 12 top ten finishes, the most of any player in 2010, to end the year in second place on the Order of Merit. Shared second place in both the Ryder Cup Wales Seniors Open and the De Vere Collection PGA Seniors Championship. Was also joint runner-up at Slaley Hall in 2009, en route to ending his rookie season in 19th position on the Order of Merit. Secured a conditional card by finishing 14th at the Senior Tour Qualifying School in 2008. Led the qualifiers from Stage One with a 5-under-par 67 at Quinta de Cima to make it through to the Final at Pestana Golf Resort. It capped a fine 2008 which included a share of fifth place in the Joburg Open on The European Tour. Won the Telkom PGA Championship in 2002, 17 years after he first won the title in 1985. Born in England but plays under the South African flag. He is playing in his first Senior PGA Championship.
