In addition to watching the legends of the game compete for the Alfred S. Bourne trophy, fans can explore the following opportunities and attractions at Harbor Shores:

• Community Showcase Tent: New to the Championship this year, the Community Showcase Tent is located at the main entrance. Local volunteers will staff the tent each day, greeting fans and welcoming out of town guests with insider recommendations about places to see and things to do in the area. And, fans can enter a raffle to win prize packages from the local community.

• Merchandise Shop: A new Championship Merchandise Shop has been constructed this year at the main entrance, and built within the Community Showcase Tent. Fans can shop for the latest Championship Merchandise, golf apparel and memorabilia throughout the week to remember their Championship experience at Harbor Shores.

• Food trucks: New this year, the Senior PGA Championship is introducing local cuisines at the food truck concession area located between Holes 7, 8, and 9. Enjoy some of southwest Michigan’s most popular, mouth-watering cuisine from Lark’s Bar-B-Que and Baja Gringo Tacos. Food trucks will be on-site each day of the Championship so fans can stop by and support the community’s local businesses.

• 19th Hole: The 19th Hole ticket is back for the 2016 Championship. Fans can gain access into an upgraded viewing structure on the course, located between the 16th green and 17th tee. This open-air pavilion will feature upgrade seating and televisions, as well as a private bar with beverage options available for purchase.

• 17th Green Bleachers: To bring fans closer to the action, the PGA has constructed a new general admission viewing area behind the 17th green. Fans can get a good look at the finishing par-3 from this location, a popular spot on Championship Sunday.

• Avenue of Flags: The first thing fans will see from the main entrance to the clubhouse is the Avenue of Flags. Nearly 60 flags will line the walking path, each one dedicated to a military member. Proceeds from each flag donation will support Lest We Forget, a non-profit military charity in Benton Harbor.

• Field of Flags: Between holes 7, 8 and 9 in Jean Klock Park, spectators can view the Field of Flags, showcasing more than 200 flags donated by the community to remember those who gave their lives for our country. Flags will be sponsored and dedicated to fallen military members with all proceeds going to Lest We Forget.

We’re dedicated to providing the best possible spectator experience for golf fans and local residents that showcases the beauty of Benton Harbor and Southwest Michigan. Thanks to the help of our community partners and presenting sponsor, KitchenAid, we’re introducing a variety of new elements to this year’s Championship for your enjoyment.

Additional information on all of these features and more can be found in our Spectator Guide.

I hope to see you at Harbor Shores this Memorial Day Weekend!

MARCH: Saluting Those Who Protect Us

The Senior PGA Championship presented by KitchenAid is played over Memorial Day Weekend, one of the most patriotic times of the year. We, at the PGA hope fans and spectators, both at Harbor Shores and watching at home, will join us to remember and honor those brave individuals who have fought to protect our freedom.

Together with PGA REACH, the charitable foundation of the PGA of America, we have partnered with the Whirlpool Veterans Association, Lest We Forget and the North Berrien Military Rites Team to commemorate those individuals and families who have served, and are currently serving.

What you’ll see at Harbor Shores:

• When you walk through the main entrance, you will be greeted by the Avenue of Flags, lining the Championship entrance with flags as a memorial to remember our late veterans. Flags can be purchased and dedicated to loved ones who have served our country and all proceeds will go back to Lest We Forget. Donations start at $50 and can be made online at PGAREACH.com.
• In advance of the first tee shot on Thursday, May 26, and Sunday, May 29, members of the North Berrien Military Rites Team will present the country’s colors, play TAPS and have a 21 gun salute commemoration. On Sunday, May 29, there will also be a flyover courtesy of the United States Air Force in conjunction with TAPS and the 21 Gun Salute.
• Members of the Whirlpool Veterans Association will be serving as volunteer marshals on Hole 17. Working to reduce distractions, maintain pace of play and promote safety of spectators, these distinguished volunteers will be in uniform or wearing a limited edition Senior PGA Championship presented by KitchenAid military uniform provided by PGA REACH.
• To honor the men and women who serve in the United States Armed Forces, The PGA of America is offering Active Duty, Military Retirees, Active Reserve, National Guard, Department of Defense Civilians and their accompanying spouse complimentary Daily Grounds tickets.

"After serving for 2 years in the Army during the VietNam conflict, I am humbled to be able to work with these groups as we honor all of our Veterans during the Senior PGA tournamment."

FEBRUARY: Giving Back: Our Way of Saying “Thank You”

We are proud to be a part of the wonderful community that is Benton Harbor and Southwest Michigan. Every two years, this area gives the Senior PGA Championship presented by KitchenAid and the best players in senior golf an incredibly warm welcome. We are thrilled to be able give back to our neighbors and the local organizations that truly grow the community.

To say thank you to our community, we’re hosting the first Community Reach Sale, where tickets purchased between now and May 1 can benefit our local charitable partner organizations. Available only online through SrPGA.com, the Championship will donate 25 percent of program ticket sales to the affiliated local organization. Fans can select which local charitable group to support during the online check-out process. The organization with the most tickets sold at the end of the campaign will receive an additional 10 percent of their sales as an added benefit, so spread the word to help your choice organization receive the extra prize!

The participating organizations in the Community Reach Sale are Lake Michigan Catholic School, Benton Harbor Promise, St. Joseph Public Schools, Lakeshore Public Schools, The First Tee of Benton Harbor and Girls on the Run of Berrien Shoe Fund.

To participate in the sale, click on the tickets tab above and select the dropdown option titled “Community Reach Sale."

This is truly more than a golf tournament. We have the opportunity to help strengthen our host site communities as a whole and continue to provide opportunities for our local youth. We thank the community for putting us in this position and look forward to getting to know you even more in the coming months.

We hope to see you May 24-29th at Harbor Shores!

NOVEMBER: It's the perfect time to secure a hospitality venue

Seasons Greetings from the 2016 Senior PGA Championship presented by KitchenAid. No not that season. Golf season! Yeah, that’s right, golf season. It’s always golf season at our office, and before you know it, there will be another golf season at Harbor Shores. And that means it’s time for the 77th Senior PGA Championship presented by KitchenAid.

Championship Week – May 24-29, 2016 -  is only 29 weeks away. But don’t fret. There’s still time for you to secure your space in one of our premier hospitality venues. Treat your guests and yourself to a golf experience that is second to none. We offer first rate catering, open-bar beverage service, and a front row seat to the biggest names in golf. Be there to see if Colin Montgomerie can be the first to successfully defend his title at Harbor Shores.

Have a large group? Maybe a private suite provides the exclusivity you desire. Want to network with others? Check out our Bourne Club or Champions Club venues. Standard packages, of 5, 10, 20, or 40 guests are available. Or a package can be customized to fit your specific need.

Don’t wait too long. Packages are filling up quickly. Don’t miss your chance to attend the area’s biggest sporting event. And go in style – enjoy complete hospitality while on site. You won’t be disappointed, as evidenced by Jim Seitz, 1st Source Bank.

“As the largest financial institution headquartered in our market, 1st Source Bank takes pride in being involved in major events that impact the communities we serve. 1st Source Bank has used the Senior PGA Tournament at Harbor Shows as one of our key entertainment events since it was first held in the Southwest Michigan area.  The four day tournament and practice rounds provide our bankers an ideal way to reach and interact with our customers.  Unlike other types of entertainment events, we have found that golf provides an excellent opportunity to have deeper conversations with our customers.  We have also learned the age of those who follow golf ranges from teenagers to customers well in their senior years.

"Entertaining clients at the Senior PGA has given us the opportunity to provide our clients a unique experience that they can’t get somewhere else. Not only have they enjoyed the golf; but the food, atmosphere, and opportunity to see the tournament up close have made it a must-attend event. It truly has been an outstanding experience for 1st Source.“
