All of that and more will require nothing more than picking up your telephone, or hopping in front of your computer on Thurs., Dec. 4, 2008, as the PGA of America will hold it's ninth PGA/USA TODAY Golf Tips Hotline as part of the 11th PGA Teaching and Coaching Summit at the PGA Learning Center in Port St. Lucie, Fla.
PGA Professionals from around the country will gather at the PGA Education Center to answer calls and emails from anyone seeking golf advice. The Hotline will be open for your questions from 9 a.m.-9 p.m. ET.
The Hotline was a big hit the last time it was held during the 10th PGA Teaching and Coaching Summit in 2006, as more than 100 PGA Professionals volunteered their time to answer calls and act as counselors to more than 1,000 amateurs nationwide.
Many of the same PGA Professionals doubled with shifts on the Internet, joining a team from pga.com in answering questions from 174 online visitors.
The Hotline began in 1992 at the PGA Teaching & Coaching Summit in San Francisco, continuing a joint education venture between The PGA of America and USA TODAY, the nation's largest newspaper.
The 2006 PGA/USA TODAY Golf Tips Hotline was held in conjunction with the 10th PGA Teaching & Coaching Summit, a golf instruction seminar conducted by the world's top golf professionals for more than 650 attendees from 45 states, a record 15 countries and the Virgin Islands.
