Hudson Swafford jars 112-yard pitch shot for eagle at Zurich Classic
Hudson Swafford was having a good opening round at the Zurich Classic on Thursday when he teed off on the 575-yard, par-5 18th hole – his ninth hole of the day – at 2 under. But his second shot sailed left and wound up in a touchy situation – a tight lie about 112 yards short and left of the green, and with not much green at all to work with.   MORE: Zurich Classic leaderboard | Zurich photos | Leishman back after wife's medical scare   Normally, this would be a tough up-and-down for birdie, and certainly not even a guaranteed par. Jason Day: 'Walk the line' on your putts
Maybe Johnny Cash was referring to golf when he sang "I Walk The Line." Probably not, but Jason Day suggests amateurs should use more than their sense of sight when trying to read longer putts. His tip: Walk the line and get a feel for the pitch of the green.
