It was a great way to start the FedEx Cup playoffs - seeing three of the major championship winners and Tiger Woods all in contention for the win on the final day of The Barclays.

It wasn't exactly the result I wanted - or expected - but it was still great to watch the Solheim Cup this past weekend. Obviously, I love it when the ladies take center stage in the golf world and I have to offer a sincere "Congratulations" to Team Europe.

I think we've all seen this Tiger Woods before. Dominant. In control. Confident. Runaway winner.

One of the things that strikes me about Brandt Snedeker, this week's champion of the RBC Canadian Open, is that he is a complete golfer. That may read incredibly obvious, but I'm saying from a PGA Instruction perspective, it's obvious he has no weakness anywhere in his golf game.

I don't know that I can say anything about the 142nd Open Championship that hasn't already been said from a fan perspective.

Little did I know when I agreed to do this week's "A Lesson Learned" that this would be such an amazing week for golf fans. Where do I start? How about 19-year-old Jordan Speith winning on the PGA Tour? 19!!! Or Will Willcox shooting a 59 on the Web.com Tour?!

Last week, I competed in one of my favorite events - the PGA Professional National Championship. This past weekend, Inbee Park not only won the Women's U.S. Open but managed to make it her third straight major championship this year.

As President of the Georgia PGA, I'm always going to feel a great sense of pride when a local product does well on the world stage. So it's a real thrill to see Harris English, who's just a good a young man as he is a great golfer get his first win at the FedEx St.

I pulled up Matt Kuchar's stats Sunday morning to get a look at what this man was doing well and how he has been able to put himself to number three in the Fed Ex Cup standings (prior to the end of the Memorial). As I poured over Kuchar's stats, one thing became abundantly clear.

In a thrilling end to the HP Byron Nelson Championship, Sang-Moon Bae battled back and then hung on to win his first PGA Tour title. A great ending to an always special event. Congrats to Bae!

Hey, stop me if you've heard this one before. Tiger Woods goes out and wins on the PGA Tour. Actually, you've probably heard it quite a few times (78 to be exact!).

Watching the final few holes of the Wells Fargo Championship, it was fascinating to watch the drama of a crowded leaderboard and watch the world's best golfers battle each other, their own emotions and - the weather.
