Fred Ridley, a former U.S. Amateur champion and past president of the U.S. Golf Association, has been elected chairman of Augusta National Golf Club and the Masters Tournament. Ridley, 65, succeeds outgoing chairman Billy Payne, the club announced Wednesday morning.

PGA Junior League Golf expanding in Myrtle Beach and seeking more players
PGA Junior League Golf is expanding in its fourth year in the Myrtle Beach market. The local league for players up to 13 years old is expected to start in mid-June and could increase to eight teams, which would be double the number that participated last year.
