I need to amend my review by giving Gleneagles FIVE STARS!!!

This 9-hole (played twice from 2 different sets of tees) is one of the most challenging courses in Northern California! I learned to play golf (beginning at the ripe age of 49) here and within 2 years I was a 12 and played in the San Francisco City Tournament where I putted 21 on a round and played through 2 of the 3 rounds of the tournament. I owed it all to Gleneagles where there were no yardage markers, the course rated a 140 (before later upgrades), the greens were fast and very tough, and the best players in the area populated the course and clubhouse. Unfortunately, nowadays I am suffering with 2 "terminal" shoulders (getting stem cell therapy to avoid replacements) and a "terminal" knee (which PT has basically stopped all pain) so golf right now is impossible. But I will always love Gleneagles and hope to return to the track when I am able. I've played many courses, including Spyglass and Pebble Beach, but Gleneagles is still my favorite! And the fees are simply the lowest anywhere! Great community, great staff!
