Only months after the introduction of its 574 cleated golf shoe, New Balance is rolling out its men's 574B spikeless companion. The new 574B spikeless models is built on the same New Balance platform as in the 574 cleated shoe, and is designed for golfers seeking a modern classic style with a spikeless outsole.
The new 574B features a mesh upper with no-sew Fantom Fit technology – a skeletally engineered upper created by fusing two extremely thin materials – for ultralight support and fit, and New Balance's Ndurance rubber outsole for maximum durability in high-wear areas. It also boasts a lightweight foam REVLite midsole for lightweight cushioning and premium responsiveness.
"The 574 golf shoe has been one of our top selling shoes in the current line," said Bruce Schilling, the general manager of golf and tennis for New Balance. "This model has tremendous appeal to the younger golfer who is already wearing our classic suede 574, and the mesh upper and spikeless outsole of the 574B will increase the appeal of the shoe to even more players."
The NBG 574B shoes come in white, grey/yellow and navy/orange color choices – the white and grey/yellow models will be available in November, while the navy/orange edition will be out next February. They carry a suggested retail price of $89.95
