Family Golf Day

PGA Junior League Family Day We’ve created a special event for all players who participated in this year’s PGA Junior League season—and now it’s time for the parents to join in the fun! Parents have spent the season on the sidelines watching, cheering, and supporting their juniors. Now it’s your chance to get out on the course and play together! The format will be similar to our Parent-Child Championship, with teams playing a fun 9-hole scramble featuring family members of all ages. Event Details Date: Saturday, September 19th Tee Times: Beginning at 2:00 PM Format: 9-hole, four-person scramble Tees: Dads - White Tees | Moms - Orange Tees | Juniors - Yellow Family Tees Teams: Any combination of family members is welcome! If you are a twosome, we will pair you with another twosome to create a team of four. If it’s one parent/guardian and two juniors, you may play as a three-person team. PGA HOPE Liberty Hill

PGA HOPE is the flagship military program of the PGA of America. PGA HOPE is designed to introduce golf to Veterans and Active Duty Military to support their social, emotional, and physical well being. Join PGA HOPE alongside your fellow Veterans and Servicemembers. PGA HOPE has served thousands of Veterans and Servicemembers across the United States through one of our 300+ locations. This introductory program is designed to welcome those of all ages, branches and eras of service, genders, and abilities to the golf course and share in camaraderie and fun together as a group. During this session you will learn the basics from grip to 9 holes of golf from PGA and LPGA Professionals. No golf equipment is required. If you do have clubs and/or any specialty equipment, please bring them with you. No prior golf experience necessary No VA disability rating required Veterans do not have to have combat or deployments in order to participate All expenses associated with PGA HOPE are covered Any questions? A typical session wth me will not be about "your mechanics," but it will be about develpoing a swinging motion based on centrifugal force. It will also be about your experiences and awareness. We can all benefit from learning how to control the things we can (pre-shot routine), acceptance, eliminating poor decisions, turning three shot into two and what to ask yourself after a shot (internal thinking/processing)...My main outlook on "The Swing" is based upon Ernest Jones' principle: Swing the clubhead with the hands, primarily the fingers, and the body follows.
