John Daly shot an 8-under Thursday at the D+D Real Czech Masters at the Albatross Golf Resort. His 64 has him in a logjam atop the leaderboard with four others, including Thomas Pieters.

The bogey-free round was Daly's best in ten years on the European Tour. His previous best was when he shot a 62 in the final round of the2009 UBS Hong Kong Open. The day, as it often is with Daly, was filled with great shots and fun pants.

Daly had some nice runs, including three birdies in a row on holes No. 1, 2, and 3. All in all, he had eight birdies in a clean opening round of golf.

We'll see if Daly can keep it up and become a weekend threat. But for today, he is tied atop the leaderboard and caught the attention of plenty a fan and fellow competitor.
