Reigning PGA Champion Jason Day has been spending lots of time at home in Columbus, Ohio, since the birth of his daughter Lucy last month. He even passed on playing in this week's Hero World Challenge in the Bahamas as well as the upcoming Franklin Templeton Shootout in Naples, Fla.

He did, however, take a little break Thursday night to motor up to the Motor City and take in the Detroit Lions' game with the Green Bay Packers. In fact, Day watched the game from the Lions' sidelines – while wearing what looked like a media vest and holding a video camera.

Day is, of course, from Australia, and we don't know whether he has a loyalty to any NFL team. So no word yet on whether he was actually filming for someone – or what he thought of that crazy "Hail May" ending.

He's next scheduled to play at the Hyundai Tournament of Champions in Hawaii in early January.
