Rory McIlroy's 5-putt double bogey at Monterey Peninsula

PGA Tour players try at all costs to avoid 3 putts.
 
But boy oh boy, would Rory McIlroy gladly have taken a three-jack on the par-4 fifth hole (his 14th of the day) at Monterey Peninsula Country Club on Friday in the second round of the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am.
 
Instead, the former world No. 1 and four-time major champion 5-putted -- after driving the green -- for a double-bogey 6.
