Sorenstam to stay with IMG, extends her deal for business and charity work

Annika Sorenstam is sticking with longtime management company IMG.

Sorenstam retired from the LPGA Tour in 2008 after a Hall of Fame career that included the career Grand Slam and being the only woman to shoot 59. She could have followed agent Mark Steinberg -- as Tiger Woods did -- when IMG chose not renew his contract in May.

Instead, the Swedish icon says IMG is the best company to support her business and charity work.

Steinberg had been with Sorenstam since the first of her 72 LPGA Tour wins, the 1995 U.S. Women’s Open. He now works for Excel Sports Management.
