Javier Ballesteros, Seve's son, will make professional debut next month

MADRID -- Javier Ballesteros, son of late Spanish golf great Seve, has turned professional.

The 24-year-old Javier wrote on his Twitter account on Friday "Just turned Pro today!"

Javier tells Spanish media that his next tournament will be the Alps Tour next month.

Seve Ballesteros, a five-time major winner, died in 2011 at the age of 54 from complications of a cancerous brain tumor.
