Tiger Woods shot a 68 to climb into top 10 at the Memorial Tournament

Tiger Woods shot a 4-under 68 Saturday to climb into contention at the Memorial, within four strokes of the lead at Jack Nicklaus' Muirfield when he finished his third round. Woods caught fire on the front nine, opening the round with a 31 after a five-hole stretch featuring an eagle and three birdies:

Woods birdied just one hole on the back nine – the par-5 15th, which he finished with a 14-foot putt – and he three-putted on the 16th and 18th holes to bogey both.

He hit 12 of 14 fairways and 15 of 18 greens.

The best hole of the day for Woods was the par-5 fifth. He made eagle after hitting his approach from 240 yards to 14 feet and holing the putt:

 

He followed up his eagle with nearly a 12-foot birdie putt on the par-4 sixth, then birdie putts within four feet on both the seventh and ninth holes.
