Last year: Jimmy Walker won for the third time in his first eight starts in the wraparound season. He closed with a 2-over 74 for a one-stroke victory.
Last week: Jason Day won the Farmers Insurance Open at Torrey Pines, beating J.B. Holmes with a par on the second hole of a playoff. Scott Stallings and Harris English were eliminated on the first extra hole. Tiger Woods withdrew during the first round because tightness in his lower back.
Notes: Walker won the Sony Open last month in Hawaii. He tied for seventh last week in San Diego. ... Day is in the field. ... Dustin Johnson, the 2009 and 2010 winner, is making his second start after a six-month leave of absence because of "personal challenges." He missed the cut last week with rounds of 74 and 70. ... Jim Furyk is making his first start of the season. ... Phil Mickelson, the winner in 1998, 2005, 2007 and 2012, is skipping the tournament to spend time with his children during their spring breaks. He also will miss the Northern Trust Open next week at Riviera in Los Angeles. ... The final round will be played at Pebble Beach.

Notes: Spain's Miguel Angel Jimenez is in the field. He won the Champions Tour's season-opening event in Hawaii on Jan. 25. ... The tours will team again next week for the Indian Open.

Course: The TwinEagles Club, Talon Course (7,193 yards, par 72).
Purse: $1.6 million. Winner's share: $240,000.
Last year: Kirk Triplett made a 6-foot par putt on the final hole for a one-stroke victory.
Last week: Paul Goydos won the Allianz Championship in Boca Raton for his second victory in 12 career tour starts. He birdied the final hole for a one-stroke victory over Gene Sauers.
Notes: Bernhard Langer won in 2011 and 2013, was second in 2012 and tied for second last year. He won five times last season to push his Champions Tour total to 23. ... Nolan Henke is making his second tour start. The three-time PGA Tour winner was 78th last week among the 80 finishers, shooting 77-77-77. ... The tour is off the next four weeks. Play will resume March 20-22 with the inaugural Tucson Conquistadores Classic.

Notes: Australia's Karrie Webb has won the tournament eight times, the last in 2013. ... The tours will team with the LPGA Tour next week for the Women's Australian Open at Royal Melbourne.

Last week: South Korean rookie Sei Young Kim won the Pure Silk-Bahamas LPGA Classic for her first LPGA Tour title. She holed an 8-foot birdie putt on the first hole of a playoff with countrywoman Sun Young Yoo and Thailand's Ariya Jutanugarn.
Next event: Karibana Championship, March 5-8, TPC Cartagena, Cartagena, Colombia.
Last week: Former Stanford star Patrick Rodgers won the Colombia Championship for his first pro title. He beat Steve Marino with a birdie on the second hole of a playoff.
