Hollenbaugh-Lewis shoot another 64, lead Senior-Junior Team Championship

PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla. (Jan. 17, 2017) -- Paul Hollenbaugh of New Albany, Ohio and Danny Lewis of Morrow, Ohio shot a second consecutive 8-under 64 Tuesday to take the lead at the halfway point of the PGA Senior-Junior Team Championship at PGA Golf Club.

They made eight birdies and no bogeys on the Ryder Course to grab a two-shot lead over Frank Esposito of Old Bridge, N.J. and Brett Jones of Basking Ridge, N.J. (61).

Kevin Morris of Palm Beach Gardens and Frank Bensel of Jupiter shot the day’s best round – a 12-under 60 on the Wanamaker Course – and are tied for third at 131 with the teams of Bill Schumaker-Ivan Foster (65), Rick Schuller-Bob Sowards (67), Mark Brown-Matt Dobyns (66), Brian Cairns-Scott Berliner (66) and Peter Serafimoff-Jeff Sorenson (68).

The 72-hole, best-ball event, part of the PGA Winter Championships, runs through Thursday. The low 40 teams and ties make the 54-hole cut. It’s expected to be at 3-under.
