PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla. — Steven Delmar and Bob Dolan combined on 10 birdies and 19 total points and are the first-round leaders of the 2019 Four-Ball Stableford Team Championship at PGA Golf Club in Port St. Lucie, Florida.

Two tandems — Joanna Coe/Gregory Pieczynski and the Tucker Brothers, Jerry and Michael — are 2 points back, tied second place, at +17. Three points off the pace, alone in fourth at +16, are Mark Brown/Joshua Rackley.

The Four-Ball Stableford Team Championship is a 54-hole event played on both the Wanamaker and Dye Courses at PGA Golf Club. Following Monday's second round, the field will be cut to the Low 40 teams and ties. The Championship is scheduled to conclude Tuesday.

Dolan, the PGA Head Professional at Columbia Country Club, carded six birdies Sunday, while Delmar added four of his own.

Dolan did the consistent work, but closing birdies on the Dye Course's 17th and 18th came from Delmar, a PGA Associate at Columbia Country Club in Chevy Chase, Maryland. Delmar's late-afternoon surge was just enough for the lead.

Delmar and Dolan bogeyed their second hole of the day, yet they took the turn at +11 thanks to six birdies on the front 9, including five in a 6-hole stretch from Nos. 4-9.

Coe is one of two women in the field. The other is Joy Bonhurst of Kensington, Maryland.
