Final spot in PGA Grand Slam goes to PGA Champion Yang

Y.E. Yang did more than win the PGA Championship on Sunday. He also earned his first trip to the PGA Grand Slam of Golf in Bermuda, where he will be joined by the winners of the other three majors.

PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. – Y.E. Yang, who came from two strokes down on the final day to defeat Tiger Woods and win the 91st PGA Championship on Sunday, earned the fourth and final spot in the most difficult tournament in the world to qualify for -- the PGA Grand Slam of Golf, which will be contested Oct. 20-21 at Bermuda’s Port Royal Golf Course.

Yang drained a crucial eagle chip on the 14th hole of the final round at Hazeltine National Golf Club to take control and the sealed the deal with an unforgettable hybrid shot into the final green that led to a closing birdie and a three-shot margin of victory over Woods. Yang closed with a 2-under 70 -- which tied for the low round of the day -- to finish at 8-under 280.

The PGA Grand Slam of Golf will once again air on TNT, where it is broadcast in prime-time to more than 89 million U.S. homes and an international audience of more than 100 countries. Comprised of the four major championship winners, the 36-hole PGA Grand Slam of Golf provides the best players in the world the opportunity to earn a spot in the most elusive and difficult foursome in all of golf.

Yang will be joined in the Grand Slam foursome by Masters Champion Angel Cabrera -- the 2007 PGA Grand Slam of Golf winner -- U.S. Open champion Lucas Glover and Open Championsnhip winner Stewart Cink.
