David Windsor, PGA of America Class A Member, is considered one of the country's foremost experts in teaching "Adaptive Golf," assisting individuals with physical, cognitive and/or sensory impairments to learn, play and enjoy the sport while enhancing their quality of life.  He has been instructing lessons & coordinating multiple adaptive golf clinics on a weekly basis since 2000, introducing or in many instances, re-introducing the game as a means of therapy for those in recovery, accelerating healing and community re-integration.
Gaining extensive knowledge and program experience in these processes, Windsor developed the Adaptive Golf Academy in 2006 (AdaptiveGolfAcademy.com), as the education platform to empower PGA/LPGA Professionals, Coaches & Therapists across the country to share and learn best practices in becoming confident Trained Adaptive Golf Coaches to impact others in their communities.
David, a 7-TIME PGA SECTION AWARD RECIPIENT across both North Florida and Georgia PGA Sections, to include: "Teacher of the Year," and multiple "Junior Golf Leader" and "PGA Patriot" awards. In 2015, David became the recipient of the National PGA of America Patriot Award, in recognition of his dedication and personification of Patriotism through the game, having served thousands of injured and disabled Military Veterans of all generations and their families through re-curring adaptive golf programs. In collaboration with the James A. Haley Veterans Hospital in Tampa, David co-founded the program in 2007 which has conducted weekly adaptive golf clinics EVERY Friday for Service-members and Veterans.
