79th KitchenAid Senior PGA Championship highlights air Monday, July 2 on Golf Channel

PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. (June 29, 2018) – Harbor Shores of Benton Harbor, Michigan, was once again the site of one of the best performances in senior golf as England’s Paul Broadhurst charged to the 79th KitchenAid Senior PGA Championship.
Relive Broadhurst’s record-setting Memorial Day weekend performance in Southwest Michigan as Golf Channel presents highlights of the most historic and prestigious event in senior golf, Monday, July 2, from 8:00 – 9:00 p.m. EDT.

The 79th KitchenAid Senior PGA Championship made its fourth appearance in Benton Harbor, Michigan, the hometown of the KitchenAid brand's parent company Whirlpool Corp.
Broadhurst, 52, became the third player from the United Kingdom to triumph at Harbor Shores, joining Roger Chapman (England) in 2012 and Colin Montgomerie (Scotland) in 2014.
Hosted by NBC Sports’ Emmy Award-winning commentator Jimmy Roberts, the Championship highlights will re-air on Golf Channel, Tuesday, July 3, from 2:00 – 3:00 p.m., and Tuesday, July 24, from 12:00 – 1:00 p.m., all EDT.
Since 2012, the Championship has been held at the Jack Nicklaus Signature design at Harbor Shores in even-numbered years. Nicklaus visited his creation Championship week and was present for the announcement of an annual $25,000 college scholarship named in honor of him and his wife, Barbara.
The Championship illustrated the dramatic ups-and-downs of the game. PGA Club Professional Stuart Smith of Somersett Golf and Country Club in Reno, Nevada, enjoyed his moment in the spotlight as one of six co-leaders after the first round. Unfortunately, he struggled mightily in his second round. Nonetheless, it was a lasting memory for him, plus his family and club members in attendance.
Mark Mielke of Jupiter, Florida, finished as the Low Club Professional among a 41-member contingent. For Mielke, it was his second such honor, having shared the crystal bowl award in 2013.
