Masters 2018: Phil Mickelson driver off the deck from 271 yards sets up 8-footer for eagle

Published on

We already told you about the bumpy start to Phil Mickelson's third round at the Masters with a triple-bogey 7 at the first, which included a whiff.

But how about this eagle he made at the eighth?

In chilly, wet conditions with the ball not traveling the way it has all week, Lefty hit a drive 305 yards, leaving himself with 271 to the pin.

Instead of laying up, Mickelson decided to go for it... with a driver off the deck.

He would convert the eagle putt to get back to 7 over for the tournament.
