The longest hitters at the KPMG Women's PGA Championship

There are few things more fun to watch in golf than a drive that gets absolutely crushed.

Fairways hit, greens in regulation, driving accuracy, sure those are important, but raw power will never go out of style.

On the LPGA Tour, the average drive distance is 254.29 yards.

Ahead of the 2018 KPMG Women’s PGA Championship, we look at the top five longest drivers in the field.

1. Yani Tseng: 276.176 yards

Yani Tseng

In her past two outings, the 29-year-old Taiwanese pro finished T27 at the Meijer LPGA Classic and T65 at the Walmart NW Arkansas Championship. Tseng tees off for her first round at 1:30 p.m. Thursday alongside Sung Hyun Park and Mo Martin.

2. Maude-Aimee Leblanc: 276.092 yards

Maude-Aimee Leblanc

Leblanc's best finish this season came at the LPGA Volvik Championship, where she shot 7-under to tie for 24th place. In the first round of the KPMG Women's PGA Championship, the Canadian will tee off at 2:40 p.m. with Xiyu Lin and Mariajo Uribe.

3. Lexi Thompson: 275.244 yards

Lexi Thompson

Thompson heads into the KPMG Women's PGA Championship about as hot as you can get. At the U.S. Women's Open, she tied for fifth place, then finished T9 at the Meijer LPGA Classic, and ended up T3 at the Walmart NW Arkansas Championship. Thompson will tee off at 1:10 p.m. with Lydia Ko and So Yeon Ryu.

4. Sung Hyun Park: 273.143 yards

Park picked up the third win of her LPGA career this year, when she won the Volunteers of America LPGA Texas Classic in May, but followed up that performance with three MCs in a row, before finishing T61 at the Walmart NW Arkansas Championship. She tees off at 1:30 p.m. with Yani Tseng and Mo Martin.

5. Angel Yin: 272.289 yards

Angel Yin

Yin's best performance of the season came in April, when she finished T3 at the LPGA MEDIHEAL Championship. Since, she's made two of four cuts, finishing T44 and T36. She tees off at 2:00 p.m. with Eun-Hee Ji and Cydney Clanton.
