Kevin Morris of Palm Beach Gardens and Frank Bensel of Jupiter shot the day’s best round – a 12-under 60 on the Wanamaker Course – and are tied for third at 131 with the teams of Bill Schumaker-Ivan Foster (65), Rick Schuller-Bob Sowards (67), Mark Brown-Matt Dobyns (66), Brian Cairns-Scott Berliner (66) and Peter Serafimoff-Jeff Sorenson (68).

The 72-hole, best-ball event, part of the PGA Winter Championships, runs through Thursday. The low 40 teams and ties make the 54-hole cut. It’s expected to be at 3-under.
