Over his holiday break, Brandt Snedeker did some serious work on his golf bag. Specifically, he switched in a brand-new Bridgestone JGR driver and adopted the 2016 edition of Bridgestone's B330 golf ball. And notably, he stuck with his Odyssey White Hot XG Rossie putter, which debuted at retail a decade ago and has been a mainstay in his repertoire for years.
With this brand-new/tried-and-true combination, the results have been impressive. In his three starts in 2016, Snedeker has tied for third at Kapalua, lost a playoff at Waialae and then won on Monday at Torrey Pines
. Significantly, he entered the Farmers Insurance Open ranked 24th in total putting, and left ranked 14th – a jump of 10 spots in just one week.
The White Hot XG Rossie is a face-balanced mallet with a double-bend shaft and full-shaft offset. It features Odyssey's popular White Hot insert, which combines a soft, resilient elastomer core with a thin, firm cover of urethane to enhcnace feel and feedback.
A textured impact zone enhances feel and defines the sweetspot on the face. And the light insert distributes weight to the perimeter of the putterhead, providing more stability for improved forgiveness and truer roll.
The White Hot XG Rossie made its debut way back in 2006 with a suggested retail price of $150. It currently has an estimated trade-in value of $5.04 and an estimated resale value of $14.40, according to the PGA.com Value Guide and Trade-in Network
