Friday, at the Dubai Desert Classic, Ian Poulter lined up for his tee shot on the par-3 seventh, a straight shot over a water hazard, and did this:

Play was suspended, but Poulter was able to poke fun at himself after the shot.

The shank came just a day after Darren Clarke attempted a flop shot that careened sideways and into a bunker. Is there a daily quota for shanks at the Dubai Desert Classic?
