KitchenAid unveils sponsorship activation plans for 72nd Senior PGA Championship

LOUISVILLE, Ky. -– As presenting sponsor of the 72nd Senior PGA Championship, KitchenAid recently announced activation plans during the Championship to be held May 24-29, at Valhalla Golf Club in Louisville, Ky. KitchenAid, one of America's best-known brands, will support its sponsorship through various programs to reach customers, golfers and cooking enthusiasts. These programs include an exciting on-course fan experience at the KitchenAid Fairway Club, which explores culinary arts and golf and features celebrity chef appearances, interactive cooking and product demonstrations, technology-enabled golf skills tests and much more.

As part of its sponsorship, KitchenAid also developed a consumer sweepstakes program. The KitchenAid Make the Cut Sweepstakes grand prize will be a "dream kitchen" complete with KitchenAid appliances and other accessories. Following the third round of play, five first-place sweepstakes winners will receive two tickets to an exclusive dinner prepared by celebrity chef Michael Symon in the KitchenAid Fairway Club. Also during the Championship, KitchenAid will entertain its customers through participation in Senior PGA Championship Pro-Am events, access to the KitchenAid hospitality suite and special product demonstrations at the Consumer Engagement Center.

In 2012 and 2014, the Senior PGA Championship presented by KitchenAid will be hosted at The Golf Club at Harbor Shores in Benton Harbor, Mich. Benton Harbor, the first Michigan host for the Championship, is the home of Whirlpool Corporation and KitchenAid, one of the premium brands of its unmatched portfolio of consumer brands. The Golf Club at Harbor Shores serves as a catalyst for revitalization in the Benton Harbor community. The site and date for the 2013 Senior PGA Championship presented by KitchenAid will be announced at a later date.
