Mitchell Camp, Dan Olsen lead PGA Senior Stroke Play Championship


PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla. —  Mitchell Camp had an eagle on the front nine and had seven birdies on the back nine Sunday for a 9-under 63 to lead the 60-and-older division of the PGA Senior Stroke Play Championship at PGA Golf Club.
  
Camp eagled the par-5 sixth hole on the Ryder Course and made five consecutive pars after the turn. The Aurora, Ohio resident leads by one over defending champion James Mason of Dillard, Ga., and Kirk Hanefeld of South Hamilton, Mass. Mike San Filippo of Hobe Sound, who won last week’s PGA Quarter Century Championship, is fourth at 65.
 
  
Dan Olsen made eight birdies during a 66 to lead the 50-59 division. Three players are tied for second with 67s: Bob Sowards of Dublin, Ohio, Omar Uresti of Austin, Texas and Chad Proehl of Urbandale, Iowa.
  
Frank Bensel of Jupiter and Mark Brown of Oyster Bay, N.Y. are tied for fifth with 68s.
