It's often said that winning isn't easy on the PGA Tour. 
 
Well, guess what? Making the cut isn't easy either.
 
Most weeks, the fields consists of 156 players with only the top-70 and ties advancing to the final two rounds. 
 
Making a cut guarantees a pay day -- not necessarily a big one, but a pay day nonetheless. The other thing about lots of cuts made is an indication of a players longevity and ability to not only play on the PGA Tour, but play competitively for years and years.
 
 
With that, here's a look at the players with the most cuts made in a PGA Tour career.
 
1. Jay Haas
 
Cuts made: 592
No. of PGA Tour events played: 798
PGA Tour wins: 9
Career earnings: $14,440,317
Notes: Jay Haas has made more cuts -- 592 -- than any other player in PGA Tour history. The multiple PGA Tour Champions winner made his first PGA Tour start in 1973 and his last in 2010. 
 
2. Tom Kite
 
Cuts made: 586
No. of PGA Tour events played: 710
PGA Tour wins: 19
Career earnings: $11,041,041
Notes: Beginning in 1981, Kite had at least one victory in 12 of 13 seasons. His lone major win came in 1992 in the U.S. Open at Pebble Beach. 
 
3. Raymond Floyd
 
Cuts made: 582
No. of PGA Tour events played: 726
PGA Tour wins: 22
Career earnings: $5,323,075
Notes: Floyd collected four major championship wins in his illustrious career. He is also the oldest player on U.S. Ryder Cup team. Floyd was 51 years, 20 days when he represented the U.S. in 1993 at Kiawah Island.
 
4. Gene Littler
 
Cuts made: 564
No. of PGA Tour events played: 645
PGA Tour wins: 28
Career earnings: $1,584,210
Notes: Littler enjoyed a spectacular PGA Tour career. Among his 28 wins was the 1961 U.S. Open. His first PGA Tour win came in the 1954 San Diego Open where he played as an amateur. His last was 23 years later at the 1977 Houston Open. Littler had $1,584,210 in career earnings. For perspective, Patrick Reed took home $1,980,000 for winning the 2018 Masters.
 
5. Doug Ford  
 
Cuts made: 553
No. of PGA Tour events played: 737
PGA Tour wins: 19
Career earnings: $419,292
Notes: The 1955 PGA Champion and 1957 Masters champion, won all of his 19 PGA Tour titles over an 11-year span beginning in 1952.
