LPGA's Xiyu Lin celebrates 21st birthday with special hat

Hats on the golf course have taken on many different forms throughout the years. From the traditional curved brim, to the modern flat brim, there's plenty of styles that come through to tie an outfit together.

But when it's your 21st birthday, there's only one hat that can fully capture the excitement of the day.

During the Honda LPGA Thailand, Xiyu Lin sported a birthday hat for 24 of the 29 holes she played during the conclusion of her second round and third rounds.

According to Lin, the hat was the idea of playing partner Christina Kim's caddie. "Playing with Kim today and her caddie, Audrey (ph), bought me this hat," Lin said. "Just put it on and asked me to keep wearing it. I play 11 hole with that and feeling fine with that."

Lin finished round two and three with 73s to sit at 3-over for the tournament which is tied for 55th. Amy Yang currently holds the lead at 17-under.
