Brittany Lincicome received a sponsor's exemption to play in the PGA Tour's Barbasol Championship this week, making her the sixth woman to compete in a PGA Tour event, after Babe Didrikson Zaharias, Shirley Spork, Annika Sorenstam, Suzy Whaley and Michelle Wie.
She also looks to be the first to make the cut since Zaharias in the 1945 Los Angeles Open.
In her first round, Lincicome finished 6-over after carding one birdie, two bogeys, a double, and a triple.
Here's how the golf world reacted to Lincicome's showing:

"I played when @ANNIKA59 played. It's fun for us to see them out...No matter what she does this week, it inspires the younger generation, both men and women, to play golf. So I think it's great. It's fun."— LPGA (@LPGA) July 19, 2018
