PGA Championship, Ryder Cup highlights and PGA of America Centennial Celebration to air Dec. 13 on Golf Channel

PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. – Jimmy Walker’s march to a PGA Championship; the 41st Ryder Cup, one of the most riveting in the history of golf’s ultimate spectacle; and an in-depth retrospective of the PGA of America Centennial Celebration debut in back-to-back hour specials, Tuesday, Dec. 13, on Golf Channel.

“Walking Tall at Baltusrol,” narrated by Jim Nantz, chronicles both the action of the 98th PGA Championship and behind-the-scenes features, from 3:00 to 4:00 p.m. ET.

Framed by an energetic gallery, relive the United States’ pulsating duel with Europe in the 41st Ryder Cup, staged for the first time at Hazeltine National Golf Club in Chaska, Minnesota. NBC Sports’ Dan Hicks serves as host from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m. ET.

Additionally, Golf Channel will air complete coverage of each day of Ryder Cup competition, Friday, Dec. 23; from 7:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. (Day 1); from 11:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (Day 2) and from 4:00 to 9:00 p.m. (Day 3). All times Eastern.

The PGA of America Centennial Celebration debuts Dec. 13, from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. ET, and will also air Monday, Dec. 26, from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m.; and 8:00 – 9:00 p.m. ET.

Hosted by David Marr III, the PGA’s Centennial Celebration reprises Golf Channel’s Section Spotlight series that introduces viewers to talented members of the PGA’s 41 nationwide Sections and their respective passion in diverse, charitable and youth endeavors.
