Last year: James Hahn won his first PGA Tour title. He made a 25-foot birdie putt on the third hole of a playoff with Dustin Johnson. Paul Casey was eliminated on the second extra hole.
Last week: Vaughn Taylor won the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am for his first victory in more than a decade. He closed with a 7-under 65 and won when Phil Mickelson missed a 5-foot birdie putt on the final hole.
Notes: Top-ranked Jordan Spieth and No. 2 Rory McIlroy are in the field. Spieth tied for 21st at Pebble Beach, ending his streak of top-10 finishes at seven. He won the Hyundai Tournament of Champions in Hawaii last month. McIlroy is making his first PGA Tour start of the year. ... Bubba Watson won in 2014, shooting 64-64 on the weekend. ... Illinois senior Charlie Danielson shot a 68 on Monday to win the Collegiate Showcase and earn a spot in the field. ... Ben Hogan won three times at the course in a 17-month span, taking the 1947 and '48 Los Angeles Opens and '48 U.S. Open. ... The tour will be in Florida the next four weeks for the Honda Classic, World Golf Championships-Cadillac Championship, Valspar Championship and Arnold Palmer Invitational.

Notes: The top-ranked Ko is coming off a victory Sunday in the New Zealand Women's Open. ... Australia's Karrie Webb won in 2014 at Victoria Golf Club for her record fifth victory in the event. ... South Korea's Hyo Joo Kim won the season-opening tournament in the Bahamas. ... The Honda LPGA Thailand is next week, followed by the HSBC Women's Champions in Singapore.
