Rickie Fowler makes young fan's day, surprises him with weekend tickets to Northern Trust

We all love the stories of professional athletes giving back to young fans, especially those who look up to them. Rickie Fowler provided us with another heart-warming story Friday at The Northern Trust.

After completing his opening round, Fowler gave his ball to a young spectator named Sam, who just so happened to be one of Rickie’s biggest fans. The PGA Tour caught up with Sam to get his reaction to the special moment.

“It means everything. It’s so cool,” Sam said. “I can’t believe it.”

Luckily for Sam, the surprises didn’t stop there.

Following Friday’s round, Fowler saw the video and sent a personal message to Sam, offering him and his family weekend tickets to The Northern Trust.
