Sprinkler goes off near green during Solheim Cup match

A funny scene played out Sunday afternoon on the seventh hole at Des Moines Golf and Country Club during the singles matches at the Solheim Cup.

Paula Creamer from the U.S. was playing Europe's Georgia Hall. When the pair got to the green, Creamer hit a putt and then immediately turned her attention to another direction.

When the camera panned out, it was obvious why -- a sprinkler suddenly turned on.

The sprinkler halted play for a few minutes and, before it was turned off, a rules official decided to stand on the sprinkler head in an attempt to stop the flow of water.

Here are a collection of tweets from the funny incident.
