Former Dallas Cowboys quarterback and current CBS NFL color analyst Tony Romo got off to a rough bogey-bogey start in his PGA Tour debut at the Corales Puntacana Resort & Club Championship on Thursday.
But, he did rebound for a time before settling for a respectable, 5-over 77.
Romo bounced back from the opening bogeys with birdies on his fourth and fifth holes. He bogeyed the the seventh, but birdied the eighth and made the turn in even-par 36.
It was steady sailing for Romo to start the back nine, but then it got ugly.
On the 13th hole, Romo made a bogey. He followed that with a double bogey on the par-5 14th and bogeys on the 15th 16th to go to 5 over.
Romo stopped the bleeding with pars on 17 and 18 for a back-nine 41 and a total of 5-over 77.
