We've seen a few lucky bounces off the wooden supports on No. 17 at The Players Championship, much like this one from Sergio Garcia on Friday.

But, unfortuately, for Ben Crane, we can't count him among those that have enjoyed the favorable bounce.

Crane's first tee shot took a nasty bounce off the top of the green's wooden supports and landed in the water. But the bad luck didn't stop there.

His next shot from the tee got a club twirl and a walk toward the hole, only to hit the flag and roll into the water.

Crane kept his spirits up, however, as he wondered with the gallery how the second shot didn't stick. His third attempt was met with an enthusiastic cheer from the crowd as it held on the green.

With firm greens and windy conditions, this won't be the last we see this weekend of players putting up big numbers on 17.
