WATCH: Rory McIlroy drives the green, makes eagle at US Open

2011 U.S. Open champion Rory McIlroy is wasting no time making some noise during the first round at Erin Hills.

On the par-4 2nd, McIlroy made the hole look like a simple par-3, hitting a 320-yard driver to 28 feet. Oh, and in case that sounds like a normal Rory shot, keep in mind that the hole plays both uphill and into the wind.

And if you're going to hit it that far, you might as well make the putt -- which is exactly what McIlroy did to card the early eagle and get to 2-under.

McIlroy made bogey on the third to drop back to 1-under, six strokes back of leader Rickie Fowler.
