PGA TOUR
DEUTSCHE BANK CHAMPIONSHIP
 
Site: Norton, Massachusetts.
Schedule: Friday-Monday.
Course: TPC Boston (7,216 yards, par 71).
Purse: $8.25 million. Winner's share: $1,485,000.
 
Last year: Chris Kirk won by two strokes, playing the final 37 holes without a bogey.
 
Last week: Jason Day won the Barclays at Plainfield in New Jersey for his fourth victory of the year and third in four starts. The PGA Championship winner had weekend rounds of 63 and 62 to beat Henrik Stenson by six strokes in the playoff opener.
 
Notes: The 100 in the FedExCup standings qualified for the tournament. The field will be cut to 70 for the BMW Championship on Sept. 17-20 at Conway Farms in Lake Forest, Illinois, and to 30 for the Tour Championship the following week at East Lake in Atlanta. ... Day leads the standings, followed by Jordan Spieth and Bubba Watson. ... Rory McIlroy, back to No. 1 in the world ranking after Spieth missed the cut in the Barclays, is in the field after skipping the playoff opener. He's 15th in the FedExCup standings.
 
 
EUROPEAN TOUR

Course: Skolkovo Golf Club (7,025 yards, par 71).
Purse: $1.13 million. Winner's share: $187,830.
 
Last year: England's David Horsey won at Tseleevo. He beat Ireland's Damien McGrane with a par on the first hole of a playoff.
 
Last week: Belgium's Thomas Pieters, who starred at the University of Illinois, won the Czech Masters for his first European Tour title. He closed with a 3-under 69 for a three-stroke victory over Sweden's Pelle Edberg.
 
Notes: Horsey won two weeks ago in Denmark for his fourth European Tour victory. ... Jack Nicklaus-designed Skolkovo is the only course in the Moscow city limits. ... The KLM Open is next week in the Netherlands, followed by the Italian Open.
 
LPGA TOUR
 
Next event: Evian Championship, Sept. 10-13, Evian Resort Golf Club, Evian-les-Bains, France.
Last week: Kris Tamulis won the Yokohama Tire LPGA Classic in Alabama for her first tour title. She shot 67-65 in a 29-hole Sunday finale for a one-stroke victory.

Next event: First Tee Open, Sept. 25-28, Pebble Beach Golf Links, Pebble Beach, California.
Last week: Jeff Maggert won the Dick's Sporting Goods Open by two strokes in Endicott, New York, for his fourth victory of the year. He took the Charles Schwab Cup points lead.

Next event: Hotel Fitness Championship, Sept. 10-13, Sycamore Hills Golf Club, Fort Wayne, Indiana.
Last week: Dicky Pride won the WinCo Foods Portland Open and earned a PGA Tour card with a fifth-place finish on the regular-season money list. Tim Herron was second, three strokes back.
