Last year: Ryan Moore successfully defended his title. He shot 68-69-67-67 for a three-stroke victory over Sergio Garcia, Gary Woodland and Kevin Na.
Last week: Smylie Kaufman won the Shriners Hospitals for Children Open in Las Vegas in his fifth PGA Tour start. He closed with a 10-under 61 for a one-stroke victory over six players.
Notes: U.S. Presidents Cup player Patrick Reed is in the field along with International team members Adam Scott, Branden Grace, Steven Bowditch, Anirban Lahiri, Danny Lee, Marc Leishman and Hideki Matsuyama. Garcia, Henrik Stenson, Jason Dufner and Ernie Els also are playing. ... The World Golf Championships-HSBC Champions is next week in Shanghai. The Sanderson Farms Championship also is next week in Mississippi.

Last year: South Africa's Lee-Anne Pace won the rain-shortened event for her first LPGA Tour title.
Last week: Lydia Ko ran away with the Fubon Taiwan Championship to regain the No. 1 spot in the world. The 18-year-old New Zealander finished with a 7-under 65 for a nine-stroke victory. She took the top spot from Inbee Park with her fifth LPGA Tour victory of the season and 10th of her career.
Notes: Ko and Park are in the field. Ko leads the player of the year points race, the Vare Trophy standings with a 69.282 scoring average and the money list at $2,716,753. She has three victories in her last five starts. She won in Canada and France — where she became the youngest major champion — in consecutive starts, tied for second three weeks ago in Malaysia and tied for fourth two weeks ago in South Korea. Park has four victories this year, winning two of the five majors. She tied for second last week in a Korea LPGA event. ... China's Shanshan Feng has four career LPGA Tour victories. ... The five-event Asian Swing will close next week with the Japan Classic.

Purse: $1.8 million. Winner's share: $270,000.
Last year: Fred Couples birdied the final two holes for a one-stroke victory in the March event. He also won the 2010 tournament.
Last event: Bernhard Langer won the San Antonio Championship on Oct. 18 for his second victory of the year and 25th on the Champions Tour. He beat Scott Dunlap by three strokes.
Notes: The top 30 on the money after the tournament will qualify for the season-ending Charles Schwab Cup Championship next week at Desert Mountain in Scottsdale, Arizona. Couples is 28th, followed by Miguel Angel Jimenez, Duffy Waldorf, Stephen Ames, Rod Spittle and Rocco Mediate. ... Colin Montgomerie leads the Charles Schwab Cup standings, 39 points ahead of Jeff Maggert and 66 ahead of Langer. Maggert has a tour-high four victories, winning majors in the Regions Tradition and U.S. Senior Open. He withdrew during the second round in San Antonio because of a lingering left calf injury.

Last week: England's Justin Rose won the UBS Hong Kong Open, closing with a 2-under 68 for a one-stroke victory over Denmark's Lucas Bjerregaard.
Notes: The event opens the four-event Finals Series. The tour will be in Shanghai the next two weeks for the World Golf Championships-HSBC Champions and the BMW Masters. The series will close Nov. 19-22 with the World Tour Championship in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. ... Rory McIlroy tops the field along with Lee Westwood, Ian Poulter, Charl Schwartzel, Andy Sullivan and 2013 winner Victor Dubuisson. Sullivan has a tour-high three victories this season.
