Austin ScarboroPlayer Development Firethorne CC
Austin was born and raised in Pinehurst, North Carolina where he began playing golf as soon as he was able to hold a golf club. Austin was a very decorated junior golfer, winning tournaments and most notably a North Carolina 4A State Championship in High School. After graduating High School, Austin enlisted in the United States Army as a military police officer where he achieved the rank of Staff Sergeant. During his last few months in the Army, Austin was an intern at Ko’Olina Golf Club in Oahu, Hawaii where he began his journey as a PGA Associate. Once his time with the Army was concluded, Austin and his family relocated back to North Carolina where Austin worked as a certified personal coach at Golftec Ballantyne. Most recently Austin worked at Rolling Hills Country Club in Monroe as an assistant golf professional. Austin is really looking forward to joining our team as a Player Development Professional, where he will be able to use his credentials through the Titleist Performance Institute to help players understand and improve their golf swing, while also improving their flexibility and power on and off the course.
I've been working with Austin for about 9 months now and I couldn't be happier. He has transformed my game from a 22 handicap down to a 12 handicap in this time. We continue to work on a weekly basis and my game continues to improve.
