Steve Saunders, PGADirector of Instruction
My name is Steve Saunders and I am the PGA Director of Instruction at Temecula Creek Golf Club in beautiful Temecula, California. I look forward to the opportunity to meet you and help you achieve your goals with this wonderful game!
I was introduced to the game at a very young age by my parents. Born in Wyoming, but raised for most of my life in Albuquerque, New Mexico, I learned to play and eventually compete in local and national events at the junior and high school level. After high school, I received a scholarship to play for the Lobos at the University of New Mexico. While in college I had some success and was fortunate enough to earn some awards including a Division 1 All-America team selection in 2009 as well as Academic All-America and Mountain West Conference Player of the year during my time there.
After college, I turned pro and pursued my dream of playing on the PGA Tour. I competed on various competitive circuits including four years on the PGA Tour Canada (2010-2013) and two seasons on the Web.com Tour(2014-2015), which is now known as the Korn Ferry Tour.
I quit competing full time in 2017, and I transitioned to the coaching and golf operations side of the game. I enjoy teaching students of all ages and backgrounds with the hope of passing along some of the joy and great opportunities this game has provided me.
