Trey Johnson grew up in Littleton, Colorado and graduated from Chatfield Senior High School in 2012. He went on to graduate from the University of Nevada-Las Vegas in 2016 with a degree in Hospitality Management with a concentration in PGA Golf Management. Trey was elected into the PGA of America in early 2017 accepting a position at La Quinta Country Club in La Quinta, California. Trey continued working at La Quinta while spending his Summers in Vail, Colorado at the Vail Golf Club. Trey has now been a full-time Vail Resident since Spring 2018 and is in his fourth season as an Assistant Golf Professional at Vail Golf Club. Trey loves the opportunity to grow the game of Golf through junior development. The basis of Trey's junior programming is to make the game fun while teaching skills required to be successful in golf and life for young golfers. As a player who taught himself the game without taking a golf lesson, Trey takes pride in making the learning process easier allowing players to improve rapidly. When Trey is away from the Vail Golf Club, Trey enjoys playing golf, hiking, skiing, and following sports especially the New York Rangers.
