Briahna Willis

Briahna Willis was born and raised in Little Rock, Arkansas, and She did not start playing competitive golf until the age of 14. Before attending college, she was given the opportunity to work in the outside service department as well as golf maintenance at The Alotian Club (38th ranked Golf Digest America Greatest Courses) in Roland, AR. She is a former student-athlete at the University of Maryland Eastern Shore (UMES) where she earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in PGA Golf Management and a Minor in Hospitality / Tourism Management. During her four years at UMES, she completed three internships: at First Tee of Central Arkansas located in Little Rock, AR as the golf coach; at Bully Pulpit Golf Course located in Medora, ND as the golf shop intern; and at TopGolf in Cleveland, OH as the Junior Academy Lead Golf Instructor. Briahna has humbly achieved a goal of joining the ranks of being the tenth African American female who have been elected membership to the Professional Golfers’ Association of America (PGA) of America. She has earned the PGA American Development Model (ADM) Certification and the PGA Modern Coach Certification. Most recently, she served as the Director of Instruction of a 72 hole facility in Tulsa, Oklahoma, but is now starting her own Golf brand, Maverick Golf.
