Brian is in his second year teaching and coaching at to the Bridges of Poplar Creek after spending the previous 28 years as the Head Golf and Teaching Professional at SentryWorld in Stevens Point, Wisconsin. SentryWorld hosted the US Senior Open in 2023, is ranked as one of America's top public courses and is home to one of the most photographed holes in golf, the flower hole https://www.sentryworld.com/. Brian enjoyed a 35 year career as a Wisconsin PGA member and is a five time special award winner including WPGA Teacher, Junior Leader, Merchandiser, Bill Strausbaugh and Golf Professional of the Year. Golf Digest and Golf Magazine have featured Brian in their "best in state" teachers edition and he is a past recipient of the Golf Course Owners of Wisconsin's Teacher of the Year. While at SentryWorld Brian operated a club building and repair shop and built over 1,000 golf sets for area golfers and students. Brian's passion is bringing new golfers into the game and especially enjoys teaching and coaching juniors of all experience levels and adults at the beginner level. Brian is looking forward to continuing a unique golf in schools program he teaches in grade schools.

A Conant and Harper grad, Brian got his start teaching golf 40 years ago in a local junior program and assisting Harper Athletic Director Roger Bechtold with adult beginner classes. Brian's childhood home was located across the street from what is now the Schaumburg Golf Club and would often play a few holes to and from school. Both his grade school and high school were also located on the golf course. Brian's first job at 14 years old was selling golf equipment at Herman's Sporting Goods in the Woodfield Mall. Brian moved to Florida for the second semester in both his junior and senior year of high school to work on his game and new then that he would be a teaching and coaching professional. After college, Brian enjoyed spending winters teaching and working at golf courses in Arizona and Colorado, eventually settling in central Wisconsin.
