Jay has been teaching at Windrose Golf Club since the spring of 2022. He is currently a PGA associate earning his status as a Class A PGA professional. Jay has studied under award winning PGA professionals such as Kevin Kirk (Patrick Reed, Jhonattan Vegas), Jim Phenicie and Dan Snider (Bryce Molder, Dicky Pride, Glen Day). He is a two-time Arkansas individual state champion and was a scholarship athlete for the University of Arkansas Razorbacks golf team.

Jay has been around golf his whole life playing, watching, and learning from some of the best players and instructors in the game. Jay grew up playing AJGA (American Junior Golf Assocation) junior events and at his home course in Little Rock Arkansas with PGA Tour players Bryce Molder and (now Champions Tour) Glen Day. Jay understands the golf swing in a very unique way. Even with a history of high level competitive play, he still focuses on golf as a game. Jay tells his students, "Golf is a game and games should be fun". Jay teaches all levels of play.
