Head Golf Professionalassociate
Thank you for visiting my PGA Coach profile! I am here to be a part of YOUR golf journey, and to share mine with you.
The most important thing I hope to emphasize with my students, is that it is all about enjoying your time on the golf course and having fun with friends and/or family. Of course, improving skills can help with that, which is where I come in. I try to help my students focus on the small wins, and the positives you can take from any shot, even the “bad” ones. With this, I am trying to keep them in a positive mind frame where they can continue to enjoy the game, no matter the result of the next shot. Life is too short to get overly frustrated with your golf game.
My teaching philosophy revolves around 3 key elements:
- Foster a friendly & supportive relationship with my student.
- Encourage joy and fun while learning & playing the game.
- Help students understand golf ball flight (or lack thereof) as they are learning fundamentals so that they can understand the feedback the golf ball gives them.
There is a lot to learn in the golf swing and playing the game, but focusing on elements 1 and 2 keeps it fun and enjoyable, and element 3 helps the student work toward a point where they can help themselves in between lessons because they begin to understand what is causing the golf ball to travel off-line and can begin to self-correct.
If you want to know a little bit more about me, read on!
My passion for the game started from childhood and took me through playing junior golf into my senior year of high school. Initially my dream was to play college & professional golf, but my life took a turn and I followed another passion of mine in playing drums. In 2008, I graduated from Musician's Institute in Hollywood, CA with an associate's degree in performance in percussion and was awarded the Most Outstanding Player award for my graduating class. I spent 12 years playing in original rock bands, while also developing and growing in a 9-year career producing television commercials. Then in 2020, golf became the center of my life once again. In 2021, I graduated from Professional Golfer's Career College in Temecula, CA with a specialized associate's degree in professional golf management along with Valedictorian honors. After working up the ladder at Bear Creek Golf Club and Pauma Valley Country Club, I am currently the Head Golf Professional at Temecula Creek Inn, a proud PGA Associate, and have been loving teaching the game since 2021. I look forward to sharing my love of golf with YOU!
