Scott grew up playing junior golf in the Thomasville area, playing golf at Ledford High school. He was fortunate enough to be the MVP of the 1992 winning NCHSAA State team.

After playing professionally for 10+ years Scott turned his attention to teaching and coaching golf full time. 22 years and 30,000 + lessons later, Scott has returned to the community he grew up in.

A few mentors and golf knowledge sources to mention: Robert Linville (PGA), David Orr (PGA), Mac O'Grady, Mike Bennett, and Mike Bender. Scott was the director of instruction with GOLFTEC for 5 years to gain substantial knowledge utilizing motion measurement data and launch monitor application.
